MONSOON BLUES
The scene is dramatic
Atmosphere threatening
The skies dark blue
The winds ripping through
Roar audibly fearsome
The thought in itself troublesome
Tree branches swaying
The winds swiftly blowing
The thunder the lightning
Is loud and so deafening
Sun is in hiding
Light, murky and fading.
Its just the beginning
All eyes on the skies
Feet trembling
Mind afraid of the howling
ITS ARRIVING ITS ARRIVING
Heart skips a beat
As eyes wait for the visual treat
The drizzle gathers strength
Here comes the torrent
HOOOOoooooooossssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
More thunder more lightning
The monsoon is indeed arriving
To drench the parched lands
To wet the simmering lives
To cool the air around
To give life to the withering greens
To turn the HEAT off
To soothe the EYES
With millions of pure little DROPS
Water nee MANNA has returned.
Flowing down the hands of GOD
The ALMIGHTY THE BENEVOLENT LORD
of all thats happening down here on EARTH
