Hi Bulbul,
My eye doctor, who also happens to be a surgeon, advised me against laser surgery ... She told me that Indians have weaker cornea than the westerners ... That's due to deficiency ... In laser surgery, a part of the cornea is scrapped, making it weak even further ... Westerners don't face that much of a problem because their cornea isn't so weak ... Doctor also told me that those who have undergone this surgery will face some problem or the other after a few years ... If an eye surgeon says that, it must be true, no? ... So I thought it's better not to take risk. |

I am extremely sorry to read about your mom's condition ... You are right ... We tend to be careless when we are young ... I too was careless about my eyes a few months ago ... The number of my specs kept on increasing ... Doctor told me to stop sitting on the Net as computer was creating more harm ... Of course, it isn't possible for me to leave my Net friends ... So, I decreased the time that I used to spend on Net ... Now my number has reverted back to the original, which means it's decreased a bit ... But still, I am continuing with Net rationing .. ;-) ...That's why you may not see me online as often as before. |
